It didn't clean, however its washable pads were difficult to attach and could not deal with dirt that had dried on.

We also experienced issues with the intelligent features of the device, namely its mapping feature and digital stay-out zones. It was effective in keeping our shoes and furniture legs away but it was easily hanging up on cables, socks and carpets. We decided not to include the Scout RX3 in our Best Buy list. However, with a reasonable price and impressive performance it's a Scout RX3 is worth considering if you're looking for an alternative to the traditional uprights.
